PROJECT BRIEF
The project brief
The building carried several layers of previous renovation. The existing structure needed to remain, while the new programme demanded more flexibility and light.
Each option is tested across planning, materials, lighting and buildability to keep the design intent consistent through to completion.
DESIGN RESPONSE
The design response grows from how the space is used.
Unnecessary finish layers were removed, sound existing walls were retained, and the new interior system was designed independently so it can change again in the future.
